Prayer 09/30/11

Father God,
I feel your spirit drawing me to minister to the lost and broken people. I feel you calling me to show your love in a cold and dying world.
God you have burdened my heart with the sadness and despair of the souls who die apart from you. I know I cannot make people choose you, but I can tell them about your salvation. I cannot force them to accept your truth but I can demonstrate your love for them with my life and actions. I cannot make them believe but I can plead with them to repent, to turn from sin and embrace you.
I don’t want anyone to perish.
Father, let me be a light for truth. Fill me with your spirit so I can be loving, compassionate and understanding towards all.

Amen

Everyone on earth lives in a struggle between the world and God’s kingdom.
The world is a flashy and glamorous place – with sights, smells, sounds and sensations that turn you on in every possible way.
The kingdom is a breeze tugging at the soul, commanding people to live righteous and holy lives. (more…)

Father God,

We live in a sad and broken world.
But you have given us hope of a new tomorrow. You have promised your people that you will build a Kingdom that never ends.
We may be living through a time of persecution and death but there will be a day when you step down and say “enough!”
You will wipe away our tears, you will be our King and our provider. I look forward to this day with great anticipation!
I am eager for your Millennial Kingdom! I desire the renewing of the heavens and earth so that your people can live in peace – in a sin free and perfect society. You, God, will make this happen in your own time but I am anxious. I cannot wait for the day that your people will live in your presence and see your face.

Let your Kingdom come Lord!

Amen

I Swear to God!

You’ve heard this before – or maybe you’ve said this before. It happens when someone tells a story that seems outrageous or when being questioned in disbelief – it just rolls off our tongues so naturally. “I swear to God it’s true! Believe me!”
It has become our standard. When we tell a story that sounds borderline unbelievable, just slip in a quick “I swear to God” and suddenly everything you say is golden – it’s all true!  (more…)

Prayer 09/19/11

Father God,
Make me sensitive to your Spirit. Open my heart and mind to the works of your Holy Spirit. Where you move, I’ll follow, what you command, I’ll obey. Soften my heart so that I am in tune with your love for the world. I will work to take your message to the lost and broken,
Amen

Jesus told an excellent parable in the book of Matthew – The parable of the three servants (Also called the parable of the talents.)
This parable has been marinating in my head for the last several days. It’s deep but the message is clear! For those who are unfamiliar with it, let me bring you up to speed! (more…)
