It can be very easy to live for the here and now.
Growing up on earth, it’s all we’ve ever known – so it seems only natural that we live with the earth in mind. However the Bible tells us that there is so much more to life than the here and now. There is so much more than what we can see, touch, taste or smell.
No, no we do not cease living after death if we are in Christ but we have a great beyond that stretches out forever and ever. An eternity of life abundant and that is what we are living for! (more…)

Father God,

We live in a sad and broken world.
But you have given us hope of a new tomorrow. You have promised your people that you will build a Kingdom that never ends.
We may be living through a time of persecution and death but there will be a day when you step down and say “enough!”
You will wipe away our tears, you will be our King and our provider. I look forward to this day with great anticipation!
I am eager for your Millennial Kingdom! I desire the renewing of the heavens and earth so that your people can live in peace – in a sin free and perfect society. You, God, will make this happen in your own time but I am anxious. I cannot wait for the day that your people will live in your presence and see your face.

Let your Kingdom come Lord!

Genesis 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”

Human beings have a deep connection with the earth. Our very origins were built from the dust of the ground. God reached down into the dirt and formed us using the earthy clumps that He scooped into His hands. Molding it like clay He fashioned us into an image that resembled His. God pulled the lifeless dirt clump close to His face where He gently blew on it. As sand scatters in a windstorm, the dirt crumbled away revealing a living, breathing human being laying in the hands of God, staring back into his creators eyes. (more…)
